cGrate's core functionality is switching mobile content, but as part of this switching suite is a fully fledged Please Call Me (PCM) manager. For Instance the PCM Manager allows mobile phone users to enter USSD codes like *122*0734567833# so as to send Please Call requests via SMS or Email to 0734567833.
The PCM manager allows mobile subscribers to send Please Call Me messages to other subscribers on different networks. These PCMs can be sent as SMS-s, emails, or both. The PCM manager allows subscribers to customize their personal PCM settings, i.e.
- Add personal PCM display names
- Configure receiver email adds
- Advert management
The PCM manager has the added functionality of displaying adverts on both the sending and the receiving ends. These adverts are selectively displayed based on the number of slots the advertiser would have acquired. This means if there is an average of one million PCMs sent everyday and an advertiser acquires ten out of a hundred slots, this advertiser's advert will be displayed on 100000 of the PCMs sent. The PCM manager also has functionality that caters for the administration of these adverts from an online front-end; this administration includes addition and removal of adverts, and allocation of advert slots.
